Client Brief

‘Morfa Milk’ supply fresh, farm pasteurised milk from Trebover Farm in Pembrokeshire. The fresh milk is supplied in reusable glass bottles directly from a farm vending machine.

Prior to Morfa Milk’s launch I was asked to design their logo that could be used on their milk bottles, website, social media, leaflets and all marketing material.

I was asked to include within the logo a hand drawn illustration of one or more cows grazing the grass as well as introducing a seascape within the design to show the wonderful sea view the cows have whilst grazing the grass at the farm.

Results

After visiting the farm to photograph the cows and surrounding views of the sea, I sketched various cows grazing, the grass, lines of the landscape and specifically the iconic view of the Goodwick seascape that locals to the area could recognise, giving provenance to the brand.

Execution

I designed a circular shaped logo with layers of bold bright blue sky, sea and fresh green grass. The Goodwick landscape can be seen in the distance. The detail of the hand drawn cows grazing the field create a traditional feel, yet the modern colour use in the background make the logo eye catching and fresh.

The logo is used on their glass milk bottles, signage and across Morfa Milk’s promotional material.
